Marsa Al Arab is an AED 6.3 billion ($1.7 billion) project catered to tourists in Dubai. This project will be built on two islands on both sides of the Burj Al Arab Hotel. One island is devoted to entertainment venues and family tourism while the other island is a dedicated luxury resort. The entertainment island will feature the Wild Wadi Waterpark and Marine Park. The island located on the left of Burj al Arab will offer 140 luxurious villas. Moreover, the project will include a private yacht marina, yacht club, gourmet restaurants, helipad, convention centre, hotels and shopping outlets spread across 20,000 square metres. Dubai Holding announced this highly anticipated project will break ground in June 2017 and is expected to be completed by late 2020.
